Our History

Once upon a time (20 years ago) two brothers set out to plan their Prom. Word got around NYC about their exclusive nightclub Prom followed by an After-PromTM aboard a yacht and by the next year, schools were beating down their door for help! All of these years later The Prom Company keeps things fresh by selecting the hottest locations and providing club DJs, decor at an all inclusive, affordable price.

The Prom Company offers a large variey of exclusive venues for client events. We are not a catering hall or prom "factory". Our Proms take place in sophisticated locations with exceptional cuisine and NYC's best DJs. We host an annual food tasting for clients where selections can be made for the big night! Clients also enjoy complimentary tickets to our annual Prom Fashion Show and can utilize our company's Scholarship policy where students with financial hardships can attend the Prom at a fraction of the cost. Lastly, we hire High School interns every year!

Our Eco-Prom, Eco-Field Trip and Eco-Weekend are just the beginining of our new events! In the coming months The Prom Company and our clients will attempt to lower the carbon imprint per event by planting trees, selecting more responsible vendors and lowering the waste produced. We will be focusing on sustainable, attainable and measurable ways to "green" our events.  Student organizers will learn about sustainable practices and derive additional experience relevant in an emerging green economy.
